Legacy Gifts

Consider adding the Salt Lake Film Society in your will or living trust. Bequests and planned giving are just some of the many ways to support SLFS.

Give the gift of film to future generations.

The world is changing quickly, but film still unspools at 24 frames per second. Help us keep the magic alive for your children, grandchildren, and future generations. Don’t let future generations think that movies were meant to be seen on a 6-inch screen. Help us make sure your grandchildren don’t ever have to ask, “What was it like to go to a real movie theater?”

Building a legacy is easier than it may seem.

There are numerous options for creating a legacy gift that can meet your financial planning needs. We highly encourage you to seek the advice of an attorney in all matters relating to planned giving for your estate. Below is suggested language which may be helpful in drafting your bequest.

“I give to Salt Lake Film Society, a nonprofit corporation EIN Number  87-0677001, currently located at 111 E 300 S, Salt Lake City, UT 84111, or its successor thereto, _________ [written amount or percentage of the estate or description of property] for its unrestricted charitable use and purpose.”

SLFS thanks you for your gift.

If you have named Salt Lake Film Society in your will or trust, we sincerely thank you for your gift. If you would like us to know about your intentions, we will ensure that your gift is used according to your wishes. Notifying us of your plans will allow us to acknowledge you in the way that you request. However, if you prefer to remain anonymous, we will keep your name and gift in strict confidence.
